Patti Heimlich, LMT, CD(DONA), ICCE, MTI

Patti has been a licensed massage therapist since 1994 and has specialized in working with pregnant women since 1998. She has attended over 400 births as a doula/massage therapist. Patti attends births in the Houston Medical Center, Southwest Houston, Memorial City and Sugar Land.

Patti is certified in pregnancy massage, labor massage, postpartum massage, and infant massage, as well as being certified in medical massage. Patti is a certified doula through three organizations, and a certified childbirth educator through ICEA. Patti is an ISSA certified water fitness instructor and a certified prenatal & postpartum fitness instructor.

Patti is also a licensed massage therapy instructor and massage continuing education instructor approved through the Texas Department of State Health Services. She is also a DONA Birth Doula Trainer.

It is Patti's goal to enable all women to feel good about their birth experience. Patti draws on her education, hands and most of all her heart to support women through this amazing experience.

Rubi Garcia, LMT, MTI, doula

Rubi has been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2004 and is a Licensed Massage Therapy Instructor. Rubi is truly a gifted massage therapist! She offers therapeutic massage that concentrates on problem areas. She is able to locate areas of restriction in the body and release them quickly. Besides working on pregnant women, she works on men and non pregnant women. Rubi is certified in pregnancy, postpartum, and infant massage. She is available for out call service (in home massage).

Rubi is very caring, positive, and calm. You can tell immediately that massage therapy is her calling. Rubi is fluent in English and Spanish.

Rubi has 4 children – 3 girls 12, 10, 9 and a boy 7. Rubi is an exceptional doula and is back up for Patti Heimlich.

Catrice Harris, CD(DONA), lactation specialist

Catrice has a heart of gold and is sweet as can be! Our clients have rave reviews for her caring and knowledgeable support.

The mother of two daughters 15 and 17, Catrice knows what it means to face challenges in childbirth and breastfeeding. Her daughters were born at a time when there was not much breastfeeding support. Knowing only that she wanted the best for her babies; she reached out for support through La Leche League. Catrice was so thoughtful for the breastfeeding support she received; she began working with other new moms having the same challenges. Through excellent training and mentoring, Catrice was able to offer breastfeeding support to new moms in several Houston hospitals from 1992 – 1996. Beginning in 2003, she enjoyed teaching childbirth education classes to a variety of families; including families working with a local adoption agency. Through the years Catrice has offered private lactation support and childbirth education classes to many struggling new moms. She went on to support many friends and family through labor, which sparked a passion within her to become a doula. Catrice has the sincere hope, that women everywhere will find the care and support needed to travel this beautiful journey of birth and motherhood.

Catrice is available for in hospital and home breastfeeding support.

She works as a back-up Doula for Patti Heimlich as needed.

She is a Certified Doula through DONA, International.

Leslie Hoekstra, LMT, Doula

Leslie received her massage training and license in Atlanta Georgia in 2009 which included program study in neuromuscular therapy, Swedish massage, deep tissue therapy, and reflexology. During training, Leslie was introduced to pregnancy massage and decided to focus her career on prenatal, postnatal, and infant massage.

In November of 2009, the opportunity to intern with Houston Pregnancy Massage and Doula Care arose and Leslie moved to Houston, TX. Leslie attended an intensive three month doula and pregnancy massage internship with Patti Heimlich. She attended a DONA, International birth doula workshop in 2010 and is working on her birth doula certification. Leslie is certified in pregnancy, labor, postpartum and infant massage. She is now licensed as a massage therapist through the Texas Department of State Health Services.

Leslie is the mother of a 23 year old daughter. Leslie breastfed her daughter for 16 months and wants to share her learned skills and the joy of breastfeeding with new mothers. She is professional, caring, giving, energetic, and has an enthusiastic spirit. Leslie is dedicated to helping pregnant women achieve the best and most comfortable pregnancy and birth by providing relaxing and realigning massage techniques to the areas stressed by pregnancy and childbirth. She is a back-up doula for Patti Heimlich.

Holly Erickson, LMT, CNA, Doula

Holly comes to us from Seattle Washington, where she worked since 2000 as a Nanny with babies and families. She became a certified nurses aide to assist families with premature infants. Holly has been a licensed massage therapist since 2004. She has always known that she wanted to specialize in working with pregnant women and families. Holly came to Houston in 2009, when her husband accepted a new position.

Holly attended an intensive three month doula and pregnancy massage internship with Patti Heimlich. She attended a DONA, International birth doula workshop in 2010 and is working on her birth doula certification. Holly is certified in pregnancy, labor, postpartum and infant massage.

Holly is professional, caring, non-judgmental, sensitive, flexible, and full of energy. She enjoys educating women on how to enjoy pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period to the fullest. Holly teaches infant massage classes, newborn care classes, prenatal and postpartum fitness classes, as well as relaxation classes. She is a back-up doula for Patti Heimlich.
